The Boy Who Saw the Wind

The Empire of the Golden Snake has been searching for new sources of energy. To this end, the chief scientist, Fritz, has been investigating his son Amon's strange powers—dubbed light playing—that allow Amon to manipulate light, heal injuries, and even fly. However, when Fritz discovers the empire's violent plans for Amon, he attempts to take his family and flee the country, but ultimately meets a tragic fate. Now on his own, Amon soon discovers he is a remnant of the Wind People, an ancient race that communed with nature and shared the same powers he possesses. As he travels, Amon learns of the empire's plans and witnesses the tragedies they are responsible for firsthand, realizing exactly why his father risked his life to prevent their designs.
